Mastering the Art of Layering Jewelry
In the world of fashion, jewelry is more than just an accessory—it’s a powerful form of self-expression. Layered necklaces, statement rings, and a cohesive outfit can instantly elevate your style and showcase your personality. In today’s post, we’re highlighting a look that demonstrates how to layer jewelry effortlessly.
1. The Power of Layered Necklaces
Layering necklaces is an art that involves mixing different chain lengths, pendant sizes, and textures to create visual interest. Here, you can see:
Multiple Pendants: Each pendant stands out on its own yet complements the others, creating a harmonious focal point.
Varying Chain Lengths: The shorter chain draws the eye upward, while the longer pieces add depth, framing the outfit beautifully.
Styling Tip: When layering necklaces, start with a shorter chain near your collarbone and add longer chains below. Choose pendants that share a common theme, color, or metal for a cohesive look.
Unlock Harmony: Matching Metals & Themes.

2. The Statement Ring
A statement ring is a quick way to add character and intrigue to your overall look. The ring featured here has a bold design that ties in with the layered necklaces, striking a balance between edgy and sophisticated.
Styling Tip: If you’re wearing a large ring, consider keeping other hand jewelry minimal (like a simple band or bracelet) to avoid overpowering the main piece.
The Perfect Match
3. Earthy Outfit Tones
Neutral or earthy clothing colors, like the olive jacket and brown shirt shown, create the perfect backdrop for bold jewelry. This color palette lets the metallic tones and gemstones stand out, ensuring the jewelry takes center stage.
Styling Tip: If you’re opting for vibrant or busy clothing patterns, choose simpler jewelry to avoid clashing. Conversely, if your outfit is muted, go for bold jewelry to add flair.
4. Achieving Balance
When wearing multiple statement pieces—like layered necklaces and a large ring—it’s important to keep the rest of your look clean and balanced. Notice how:
The jacket’s open style frames the necklaces.
The single ring on one hand complements the necklaces without competing for attention.
The color scheme remains cohesive from top to bottom.
Styling Tip: Try to maintain one or two focal points in your ensemble. If your necklaces and ring are the highlight, keep other accessories (like bracelets or earrings) minimal. Look how stand out in Eartly toned outfit.
5. Personal Expression
Jewelry is an extension of who you are. Whether you love edgy metals, spiritual pendants, or statement gems, your pieces should tell a story that resonates with you.

Show, Don’t Tell: A Story of Faith and Creation
"Show, don't tell" is a narrative technique used in various forms of writing to allow the reader to experience the story through actions, dialogue, subtext, thoughts, senses, and emotions, rather than through direct exposition, summarization, or description. This concept is often attributed to Russian playwright Anton Chekhov, who is reputed to have said, “Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.” In a letter to his brother, however, Chekhov actually wrote: “In descriptions of nature, one must seize on small details, grouping them so that when the reader closes his eyes, he gets a picture.”

I have always remembered this technique because I once dreamed of becoming a fiction writer. Every Sunday, before and during the COVID era, I would write my stories—especially during lockdown, when I couldn’t go anywhere. I even completed one titled "The Boy Watching Over the Sea," along with many others. The story follows Phillips, a boy struggling with the path his mother has chosen for him. He finds a teacher who completely changes his life, opening the door to his dreams.
Back then, my mind was still lost in a beautiful world—perhaps a "dream realm." I had little knowledge about life and assumed fulfilling my dream would be easy. But setbacks hit me hard during COVID. I was like a cat playing with thread balls—chasing, unraveling, and eventually losing my way. When writing brought me no income, I abandoned my dream.
It took me a long time to overcome life's hardships, but everything changed when I met a good friend—a writer living in Bangkok. We connected through a Facebook writing group, and when we finally met in person, he introduced me to Christ, the Holy Bible, and his church.
At first, I shook my head, saying, “Religion is a man-made belief, created to collect donations for personal wealth.” But everything changed the moment I stepped into God’s kingdom. As I began reading the Holy Bible, I encountered teachings that resonated deeply within me—like the parable of The Wise and Foolish Builders (Matthew 7:24-27):
24 “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
These words broke down the walls I had built in my mind. They were truth itself—truth about our nature, created by God.
The Birth of My First Jewelry Design

This first encounter with faith brought forth my first jewelry design. It was the very first piece I ever created. Inspired by Christ’s sacrifice, faith, and divine light, I envisioned:
Red Spinel to represent the blood of Christ
A star to symbolize faith
Infinity yellow light to represent the Holy Light
The piece spoke of my new journey—a journey of true faith.
Through a computer-aided design (CAD) process, the cross was digitally formed before being 3D-printed and cast in 14K gold. A skilled jeweler then arranged and set the spinel and yellow diamonds before the final stages of polishing and plating, which gave it its radiant glow.
The moment I saw the completed piece, it spoke to me—without words—of the faith I had embraced. It was remarkable that, upon seeing it, people would say, “Ah, you are Christian.”
This experience proved something to me: Jewelry can be a powerful way to "show, don’t tell."
At Pravda Jewels, we can help you tell your story—not through words, but through the artistry of jewelry. Let us help bring your personal "show, don’t tell" narrative to life.
Amethyst & Valentine’s Day: A Love Story of Serenity and Devotion
February is a month painted in hues of deep purples and passionate reds, where love takes center stage under the banner of Valentine’s Day. It’s no coincidence that the birthstone of February, amethyst, beautifully embodies the essence of both romantic devotion and inner tranquility. At Pravda Jewels, we believe that every gemstone tells a story—and amethyst is the perfect narrator of love that is steadfast, wise, and deeply serene.
The Legend of Saint Valentine & Amethyst
The history of Saint Valentine is one of love, faith, and devotion. As a priest in ancient Rome, he defied Emperor Claudius II’s decree against marriage by secretly performing wedding ceremonies for young couples. For his unwavering belief in love, Valentine was imprisoned, where legend says he wore an amethyst ring engraved with Cupid’s image, a symbol of his defiance and devotion to unbreakable bonds. Before his execution, he is said to have sent a farewell note signed “From your Valentine”, inspiring the romantic traditions we celebrate today.
Over time, amethyst became associated with clarity in love, spiritual wisdom, and fidelity, mirroring Saint Valentine’s dedication to true and unconditional love. The stone was cherished by early Christian bishops, signifying purity and unwavering commitment—values that resonate deeply in the season of love.

Amethyst, with its captivating violet hue, has long been seen as a stone of protection and clarity in love. Its historical associations suggest a connection to pure intentions and unwavering commitment, qualities that echo the spirit of true love. Ancient traditions even linked amethyst to spiritual bonds, believing it could foster understanding, loyalty, and harmony between partners.
In the quiet strength of amethyst lies a love that doesn’t fade—a love that grows wiser with time. Whether shared as a token of romance or worn as a personal reminder of self-love, this gem speaks softly yet powerfully of devotion.
A Timeless Valentine’s Gift
While roses may wilt and chocolates may fade, an amethyst jewel endures—an everlasting symbol of a love rooted in serenity and emotional balance. Picture a pendant resting close to the heart, a ring catching the light with every gesture, or earrings framing a joyful smile.
At Pravda Jewels, our amethyst designs are crafted to not only celebrate February’s birthstone but also to capture the essence of enduring love. Each piece reflects thoughtful craftsmanship and the belief that love, like a finely cut gemstone, deserves to shine brilliantly.
Love Yourself, Love Others
Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romantic gestures—it’s also about self-love and renewal. Amethyst serves as a reminder to pause, reflect, and care for your own heart. It’s a gem that whispers of balance, calm, and the importance of cherishing yourself first.
Celebrate Love with Pravda Jewels
This Valentine’s Day, let amethyst be more than just a gemstone—let it be a symbol of love in its purest form. Whether as a gift for a partner, a friend, or yourself, an amethyst creation from Pravda Jewels is a promise:
To love deeply. To love wisely. To love truthfully.
Wear truth. Wear Pravda Jewels.
You Are U.
When I was young, I loved dancing during the Christmas festival at my elementary school. I felt pure joy moving to the rhythm of both English and Thai songs. But in fourth grade, that joy was shattered. Someone looked at me with glaring eyes and sneered, "Oh, you love to dance? You must be gay."
From that moment on, I became a target. My classmates bullied me with cruel words—calling me retarded, autistic, stupid. Those words echoed in my mind, chipping away at my confidence. I felt isolated, even banned from the school library, a place I once loved.
Then, I met Mr. Michael Williams, a Canadian-American English teacher. He introduced me to fascinating books, like a world atlas, and showed me where America and Canada were. Our discussions about world history ignited a dream in me—to study abroad. That dream became reality when I became an exchange student in the U.S.
In high school there, I discovered something profound. At prom and at a family wedding, I saw people dancing freely, without judgment. Unlike my bullying peers back home, no one cared what dancing meant—they just embraced the joy of it. My time in America taught me a valuable lesson: being yourself is what truly matters.
Since then, I have never hesitated to make new friends, to embrace my individuality, and to live without fear of judgment.
The message I want to share is this: Do not let the harsh words of others define you. Their words are not your truth. Find strength within yourself, embrace your soul, and be confident in who you are.
You are U. Seek the talents within your soul, embrace the divine light within you, and express your true essence. There is a brilliance within you—find it, nurture it, and let it shine.

Faith onto tradition.
Readers, today I’m celebrating Chinese New Year with my family. For many Chinese families, this may sound ordinary, but as an Orthodox Christian who believes in one God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—it can sometimes feel at odds with traditional Chinese practices that honor multiple gods.
Initially, I was unsure whether joining my family’s celebration aligned with my faith. A Thai acquaintance once told me she stopped celebrating after converting to Christianity and now feels distant from her family. This left me feeling conflicted—until I spoke with my friend Kevin, a Christian of Chinese-Malay heritage.
Kevin explained that his family reinterprets traditional practices through their faith. They focus on the values behind the customs—such as respect, love, and connection—without engaging in religious rituals that conflict with their beliefs. They still exchange “Ang Pao” (cash presents), enjoy family dinners, and honor their ancestors without bowing to statues or participating in other acts of worship.
Kevin’s story reminded me of the importance of tradition—it’s like a root that nourishes the branches of our lives. Even with differing beliefs, traditions can create opportunities for connection, understanding, and love. For this reason, I’ve decided to celebrate with my family, supporting them while staying true to my Orthodox faith."

January: A Month of Strength, Warmth, and Renewal with Garnet
January, the first chapter of the year, also brings the coldest days to many countries across Europe, Asia, and North America. Do you picture yourself by a warm fire, wrapped in a cozy blanket, seeking comfort from the winter chill? This is where Garnet, the gemstone of strength, warmth, and renewal, steps into the spotlight.
Make it stand out
As January's birthstone, garnet carries a rich legacy rooted in history and symbolism. Its deep crimson hue has long been associated with vitality and passion, offering a radiant contrast to the quiet stillness of winter.
For centuries, garnets have been revered not only for their beauty but also for their protective and restorative qualities. Ancient civilizations cherished garnets as symbols of light and guidance in times of darkness. Medieval warriors carried them into battle, believing in their power to offer protection and courage. In a way, garnet mirrors the steadfast lantern of faith—a guiding light in moments of uncertainty, much like the divine fire that led the Israelites through the wilderness. Today, garnet remains a gemstone of resilience—empowering its wearer to face challenges with confidence and grace.
Beyond its strength, garnet is also a gem of warmth and connection. Its rich red glow symbolizes love, loyalty, and friendship, making it a meaningful choice for both personal adornment and heartfelt gifts.
But garnet isn’t just about enduring strength or heartfelt bonds—it’s also about renewal. As the year begins, this gemstone serves as a reminder of fresh starts, inspiring us with the energy needed to pursue new goals and embrace change. In its symbolism, garnet whispers the promise of restoration and hope, echoing the same renewal found in sacred stories of transformation—from ashes into beauty, and from hardship into grace.
Cherishing January Moments
How should we welcome the first month of the year?
Let’s begin with moments of joy shared with family and loved ones—perhaps a cozy dinner in an intimate setting, a family game night, or a winter slumber party with friends. These shared experiences create lasting bonds and bring warmth to the coldest days of January, much like the breaking of bread at a table filled with love and gratitude.
Pravda Jewels: Celebrating Garnet’s Spirit
At Pravda Jewels, we honor garnet’s timeless symbolism through pieces that tell meaningful stories. One exceptional creation is our Phoenix Cross Pendant—a striking silver pendant featuring a phoenix motif with a red garnet at its core, surrounded by black spinels.
The garnet represents enduring strength and passion at the heart of the wearer, much like the steadfast heart of David facing Goliath.
The black spinels symbolize protection and resilience, guarding against negativity and external pressures, reminiscent of the spiritual armor described in sacred texts.
The phoenix design embodies renewal and transformation—a powerful reminder that each new year brings an opportunity to rise anew, just as Noah emerged from the ark to witness a world reborn under a covenant of hope.
Garnets, while widely known for their deep red hue, also dazzle in shades of orange, green, pink, and purple. Our Pink Rhodolite Butterfly Earrings and Pendant celebrate garnet’s versatility. The pink rhodolite garnet radiates sweetness and gentleness, while the butterfly motif signifies transformation and growth, evoking the spiritual rebirth described in timeless parables.
At Pravda Jewels, each garnet creation captures not just the gem’s fiery essence but also the spirit of those who wear it.
Let garnet be more than just a stone—it is a symbol of your strength, your warmth, and your renewal.
Wear truth. Wear Pravda Jewels.
Why did I name “Pravda Jewels”?
My name is Tawin Leelawanich, or Leon. I’m from Bangkok, the capital of colored gemstones in Asia, located in Thailand. My journey with gemstones and jewelry began in my teenage years while working at my parents' shop, which specializes in jewelry displays and packaging for jewelers in Bangkok.
As someone who loves reading novels and visiting art galleries and museums, I’ve always been fascinated by how jewelry's colors symbolize emotions and tell unique stories
This is what my family business doing. Photos from 9Showcase co., Ltd.
This passion led me to pursue gemology, and in 2019, I graduated from the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences in Bangkok. I then worked there for a year as a teaching assistant before traveling to Madagascar in 2020 to study gem cutting. Fortunately, I returned home before the pandemic severely impacted Thailand.

During this challenging time, I immersed myself in my parents’ business and began attending the Bangkok Gems Fair regularly. However, I was disheartened to see repetitive designs across booths, lacking the individuality and expression I believe jewelry should embody.
One day, my father revealed his past in the jewelry business and showed me his collection of vintage pieces. Among them was a stunning vintage amethyst armor pendant in silver with an 18K gold accent. Its design symbolized protection, while the vivid amethyst conveyed tranquility. Despite their beauty, my father doubted their potential, as they had remained untouched for over 20 years.
I saw their hidden brilliance and decided to refurbish the pendant. I repolished and replated its worn silver body with black gold, enhancing its armor-like presence. The amethyst, symbolizing royalty and inner tranquility, stood out even more against the bold black backdrop. The transformation was breathtaking—it felt as though the pendant had been reborn, like a phoenix rising from its ashes.
This experience was deeply fulfilling. I realized I had the ability to breathe new life into vintage pieces while preserving their originality. It reignited my passion for creating jewelry that carries both physical beauty and spiritual significance.
Inspired by this revelation, I began designing new pieces, like an 18K white gold ring featuring a 1.67 ct. Colombian Emerald, Fancy Yellow Diamonds, and White Diamonds. Each gemstone held meaning: white diamonds symbolizing sunlight on Earth, yellow diamonds representing the holiness from heaven, and the emerald reflecting our enlightened soul. That’s right, I made this ring inspiring from the beautiful life I received from the giver of life.
Every piece I create carries its own story, value, and purpose. This journey gave birth to Pravda Jewels—a brand built on honesty, authenticity, and artistry. My mission is to craft meaningful jewelry that speaks for its wearers, while ensuring every creation is accompanied by certified gemstones, building trust and confidence with every design.
